Description:The project consisted of added onto the existing two-story staircase with a new steel and masonry structure with a rubber membrane roof. The interior work included a new steel staircase, fireproofing, drywall, painting, acoustical ceiling tile, fire protection, and electrical.
The staircase was completed while still allowing the existing two floors to remain open after KPH complete the demolition of the existing roof. KPH work closely with the St. Joes Safety Director to ensure the shoring and scaffolding meet strict regulations in order to keep the existing staircase functional.
