Description
The project consisted of adding a new, steel and masonry structure with a rubber membrane roof onto the existing, two-story staircase. The interior work included a new steel staircase, fireproofing, drywall, painting, acoustical ceiling tile, fire protection, and electrical.

The staircase was completed while still allowing the existing two floors to remain open after KPH completed the demolition of the existing roof. KPH worked closely with St. Joseph’s Safety Director to ensure the shoring and scaffolding met strict regulations in order to keep the existing staircase functional.
