Description
The West Addition HVAC upgrades consisted of replacing numerous steam pipe valves throughout the 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th floors of the West Addition at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center. This work had to be completed 5 rooms at a time for a total of 180 rooms.
St. Joseph needed all the existing valves removed as some were up to 50 years old and had begun to break during normal functions and shutdowns. In order to complete this, our construction team had to first remove all of the ceilings at the valve locations. The valves were then abated, replaced, insulated and ceilings were re-installed.
